National and Regional Museums

Araucano Museum or Museo Regional de la Araucan�a : It is an institution dedicated to the cultural heritage, regional and bibliographic materials. deliver a message dedicated to education and science. with a view to collect, research, preserve and disseminate the community relevant aspects of anthropology, archeology and regional history, with emphasis on historical and contemporary settlement of native groups and Europeans. On 12 March 1940 a decree for the creation of the regional museum of Araucan�a, which later changed to be the Araucano Museum, taking its initial yields in high school La Salle and then finally to Germany Avenue Building 084, family being above Spielmans Carlos Thiers, and then acquired by the Directorate of Libraries, Archives and Museums and National Monument on 24 March 1997.
