Temuco, capital of the Araucan�a Region, is a city located in southern Chile, which is equidistant from the Pacific Ocean and theAndes Mountains . The site of the city morphologically corresponds to fluvial terraces of river Caut�n that develop as sandwiched between the Cerro �ielol (350 m) and Cerro Conun Huenu (360 m). In addition, the peak of Temuco is a historical and cultural center, which has been preserved as Natural Monument Hill �ielol which is protected by CONAF , because of its history in the founding of the city, thus having the Patagua Armistice, which hosted parliament between the Chilean Army and the Mapuches that lived in the area, there latter agreed to donate their land to the government of Chile .
