Zapallar is a commune of Chile , located in the province of Petorca . It is a traditional and exclusive resort of the gentry distant 169 km from Santiago , 80 miles from Valparaiso , and 71 km from Vi�a del Mar , between the resorts of Papudo and Cachagua , very close (only 4 km) of the latter. It has a population of about 6000 inhabitants and is currently one of the most exclusive summer resorts in the country, especially for its buildings, gardens and landscapes
