This place has only one access road that runs along the winding and
dangerous defiles of the Mapocho river , the river Molina and Yerba Loca
called Route Road to Farellones .This path has more than 40 curves so
serious automobile accidents always happen. The climb rugged part from
Corral Quemado .
There are several alternatives to reach Farellones
and other ski resorts, which are recommended for 4x4 vehicles climbing,
always wearing chains and of signposts and strictly following police
orders to avoid accidents or incidents.
Regular shuttle companies are another good alternative and within them is the transfer company SnowBus .
The road on weekends and holidays is regulated with rise and fall times that would be:
Saturday, Sunday and Holidays
8:30 to 13:30 only to rise
15:30 to 20:00 only to lower
New Road
The
road will be remodeled to create the grant 6 -Farellones Las Condes
through 29 miles of his birth into Avenida Las Condes . route would have
two sections: the first (8.3 km), running from the current Farellones
way to an area where you plan to build a sector where, in the medium
term, to build hotels and areas services.The second tranche would leave
at this point and come to the area of the Springs, another area where
development would property. This sector would have an additional value:
the construction of a cable car, a 3.2 km long, to become an alternative
to the road.
Nature Sanctuary Yerba Loca
In
this curve 17 is the access road to the Nature Sanctuary Yerba Loca ,
administered by the Municipality of Barnstaple, one of the remaining
natural reserves in the Metropolitan Region of Santiago . This inner
valley ends in Cerro Altar and is subject to frequent trips within that
account the trekking
