History of Timbio

JuteVilla
The Timbio word is formed by Tim source monosyllable Quechua , which means union or relationship and the source bisílabo Bio Pubenés , meaning river or fountain, therefore Timbio: junction of two rivers (Chambio and Timbio). The cacique Timbío whose descendants came to the year 1677, took its name from the place where he lived.
