Yopal is a Colombian municipality and
the capital of the department of Casanare . Its area
is 2771 km ² , and is located at 335 km from the Capital
District of Bogotá .Settled by Santander in 1915, is one of the
youngest provincial capitals of Colombiaand the city that registers more
rapid population growth nationally, especially after independence of Boyaca
(former national territories), and amendment of the 1991 constitution and oil
exploration. This is a land of beautiful contrasts in fauna, flora,
