The municipality is located on the western
slope of the Eastern Cordillera , where the basin decline Minero River valley
toward the Magdalena River , the topography of the land is kind of broken, and
go through several geological faults, the altitude of the sea level ranges
from 425 meters to the western end of the village in the village Zulia, to 3020
m in the Yanaca hill located in the village of Sabaneta.
