Jericho then founded between 1845 and 1848 by Don Santiago Santamaria and Bermudez de Castro , rich man, enterprising, noble and generous, who had had such land by inheritance, purchases and changes; colonize the draft, brought under his control and direction a group of poor and working families from Amagá, Fredonia, Caldas, Envigado, Medellin Rionegro and to begin the process of colonization and founding of this region.
