Felicina village : in 1852 he was named in memory of the virtuous patriot Jose Felix Restrepo at the suggestion of Don Santiago Santamaría, who professed great admiration for his work with the slaves.

History

Jericho was founded by Don Santiago Santamaria and Bermúdez de Castro . The town was born the legal life September 28 of1850 , with the name " Stone Village " , by Ordinance No 15 of the House Providential Antioquia . Later called " Felicina "and finally retains the name it bears today, "Jericho" .
