The municipality of Barranco de Loba,
currently presents a composition of its production structure and employment by
industry, similar to that prevailing in most of the municipalities in the
department of Bolívar, the main ones are: Artisanal fisheries, agriculture and
livestock on a smaller scale. While economic activities such as mining, logging
and trade side occupy places within them. It should be noted that the
population of the Municipal Head, is devoted to the formal and informal trade
and provide services (City Hall, The Public Utilities, State Social Enterprise
