History of Uramita

class="MsoNormal">In 1938 the works of the Milky Ocean were opened and Inspection Uramita, located at the mouth of the river of that name was created. Finally, in 1978 , by Ordinance 043, was erected Uramita Municipality, taking the villages of Ambalema (municipality of Frontinus ) Orobajo (municipality Cañasgordas ) and Encalichada (municipality Dabeiba ).

The municipality is located half way to the Sea Highway

His hymn was written by Alfredo Quintero Varela.
