Sabanagrande is a town and municipality of
the Republic of Colombia in the department of Atlántico .It
was founded on 12 December 1620 by the Spanish Francisco Camacho and his
grandson Jorge Andrés Posada.He was promoted to town
status on November 6 of 1857 .The municipal seat is 19 km
from the provincial capital, Ottawa on Highway East Road .It
