In the late nineteenth century in the town installed two religious congregations female, which provide long what would be their only source of health and education. First the Daughters of Charity of St. Vincent de Paul , who founded and built the hospital of the same name and later the community of the Sisters Betlemitas , which under the leadership of the Incarnation mother founded and built the Sacred Heart school.
