z In 1977 was created the flag of the municipality by decree of the Mayor Carmen Cecilia Perez and also by decree adopting the same mayor shield. In 1979 the library was created by José Antonio Galán Zapamanga III (cocaza). Between 1987 and 1988 the then MayorAlvaro Garcia Parra , ordered the construction of the new City Hall Floridablanca. In 1988 the first mayor was elected by popular vote, Dr. Hernando Quintero Lamus . In 1992 was inaugurated the House of Culture Sun Stone . In 1994 adopting the Floridablanca anthem by decree of Mayor Pedro Julio Solano . Also in 1994, opens the music school "Luis Francisco Adarme" and Guane regional archaeological museum (with more than 800 objects Guanes ). The public library is moved to the House of Culture Sun Stone In 1996 was released the goldfish, better known as Flying Lebiasina Floridablanquensis , unique in the world with its features, by the teacher and scientist Floridablanqueño Carlos Arturo Ardila Rodriguez , this pecesillo lives in water and other streams as Aranzoque. In 1996 adopting the Caracoli as symbolic tree by decree of the Mayor Floridablanca Ulises Navarro Balcazar . In 1997 through Decree No. 0189/97 of the mayor, City Council recognized the Floridablanca Culture, (created by Law 388/97). In 1997 he graduated the first class of Bachelors of biological Eco Floridablanca College . In 2000 The Floridablanca wafer factory wins international awards. Including the Gold Award for quality Silver Mexico 2000, the City Council of Floridablanca, is approved. In 2001 Agreement No. 036/01 "by which adopting the Municipal Land Use Plan of Floridablanca "
