Ulvila is a town and municipality of Finland. It is one of the six medieval cities of Finland. Its position as city was taken over by Pori in the 16th century.

The name Ulvila comes from Ulvi, the Fennicised version of the personal name Ulf, with the Finnish place name derivational marker -la/-lä. The Swedish name Ulvsby has a similar meaning of "Ulf's village". Both can be roughly Anglicised as "Ulfsville".
