Ballarat Solar Park, opened in 2009 at the Airport site in Mitchell Park, is Victoria�s first ground mounted, flat plate and grid-connected photovoltaic farm. Built by Sharp Corporation for Origin Energy it is 14,993 m (161,380 sq ft) and generates the equivalent electricity needs of around 150 homes
