Al Jazeerah Al Hamra is a town in the United Arab Emirates occupied by Ras al-Khaimah since 1970. Its last Al-Zaab Sharif (mayor) was Hussein Bin Rahma Al-Zaabi, who is now the Sharif of Al-Zaab area in Abu Dhabi. His eldest son Rahma is the United Arab Emirates ambassador to Lebanon.Al Jazeerah Al Hamra is the eldest town on the Persian Gulf, it is the only traditional town in the United Arab Emirates. Al Jazeerah Al Hamra is home to the Ras Al Khaimah International Airport
