Rotterdam is served by Rotterdam The Hague Airport (IATA: RTM)  with direct flights from selected cities in Germany, Italy, France, Spain and the United Kingdom.

*Transavia flies to Rotterdam from London (London Stansted Airport), Nice, Grenoble, Toulon, Girona, Alicante, Malaga, Friedrichshafen, Prague, Genoa and Rome (Fiumicino Airport).

*City Jet flies to Rotterdam from Hamburg (Hamburg Airport) and London (London City Airport).

Once arrived at Rotterdam Airport you can use public transport to get in the city. RET shuttle bus 50 connects to metro station Meijersplein where you can transfer to metro line E to Slinge (total travel to Rotterdam Central about 20 minutes). You may also take bus 33 which runs frequently to Rotterdam Central Station and takes you there in about 25 minutes. As of December 12, bus 41 no longer serves Rotterdam The Hague Airport.

Most major and international carriers will fly to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (IATA: AMS ), which is connected directly to Rotterdam Centraalstation by a frequent high-speed rail service (called Fyra). The journey to/from Schiphol Airport in 26 minutes. Trains run every half hour and a one-way ticket costs €11 (as of January 2012). The train station is situated underground, directly below the terminal building. Tickets are available at the station through automated machines, at the ticket desk, or can be booked in advance.

Ryan air flights go to Eindhoven (IATA: EIN ). The train from Eindhoven takes about 75 minutes.
