San Vicente has an area of 28
300 of which 10,703 km are located in area of dispute with the departments of Meta
and Guaviare. About 25% of its territory consists of the Amazon Forest Reserve.At the north end of town there is part of Cordillera
Natural Picacho National Park, which borders the peasant reserve, and in the
border area with Meta is located part of a parcel of land reserved by the National
Hydrocarbons Agency for exploration and exploitation of these resources.
