Around 1912 or 1913 the priest Juan Bautista Aranud Monfort ( French ) came to the territories of the current municipality . In early 1913 the first families arrived and settled in San Luis Plateau, starting a village they called " La Soledad ", which moved to its present site in 1921 . In 1929 the Community Monfortiana founded the Seminar which depart several generations of priests .

In the year 1962 , with the assistance of the Department, the municipality built an airstrip in the middle of the Municipal Head. In 1967 rises to the level of
