The greatest extent of the territory of San Benito Abad extends in a flood plain, drained by the river systems of the San Jorge, Cauca and Magdalena rivers, the first, the only one that goes through the town, running from south to north. this vast region known as Depression Momposina and have heights that do not exceed 33 meters , making it a flood zone most of the year.
