The history of the Municipality of Purisima back to the dawn of the sixteenth century, being one of the first people who settled in territory of Cordoba, whose date is estimated in the year 1535, namely on February 3, its original name was "The Cochinera" being later changed to "St. Nicholas of Peace" and its founder Don Alonso de Heredia.
