First name change: Galindo

On 7 October 1864 the village becomes a district, bearing the name of Galindo by minutes of the Corporate Assembly of the then Department of Santander . This political act was completely contrary to the will of Caldereños because he was assigned that name in memory of liberal GeneralTeodoro Galindo , who during one of the civil wars that ravaged the country in the nineteenth century, attempted to take the town and was shot against the resistance of the population in Curos on Salazar Road. The population used the new name written only official acts; otherwise Caldederos remained Caldereños Caldederos and its inhabitants.
