Santanderano municipality located in the province of Soto 38 kilometers from the city of Bucaramanga, is 2185 meters above sea level, its main activity is the production of milk and mulberry cultivation.

It is called "Rincon Florido" by having a climate that allows for continuous flowering plants. Charta is a water source for Bucaramanga. It borders the municipalities of Tona, Matanza, Suratá, California and Bucaramanga.
