The municipality of Caucasia was founded on
April 12, 1886 by Mr. Clemente Arrieta Viloria, medicinal plant root-digger,
Miner, Farmer, cattle drover walk (Cowboy) and folklorist. Connoisseur of music
and folklore and executed a perfect instrument flute whistle pierced; with
which enlivened the festivities of the Virgen del Carmen and the fandango of
year-end, and eight from December to January 6 next year. Don Clemente Arrieta
Viloria was born September 20, 1860 in the village of Jegua belonging to the
municipality of San Benito Abad, then a town of Bolivar; Today Municipality of
Sucre, Mojana
