When from Spain reached American soil the conquering
armies that were commanded by Marshal Jorge Robledo , he, with his soldiers,
and even the today called Cañasgordas region, this area was inhabited by
Aboriginal ethnicity of Catíos .These Indians
used to live scattered among the forests and mountain slopes looking for good
weather.Incidentally it should be noted that
these tribes especially hunting and fishing fed, to which were particularly
addicted, and without much taste for agriculture.
