By Car: Massa Marittima is easily accessible from Grosseto or Livorno through Aurelia, a road to 4 lanes, passing just 15 km from the town, the exits to be used are those of Follonica est for those coming from the north and Scarlino for those coming from south.

Coming from Siena or Florence an alternative route is the SP 73, which passes through the villages of Rosia and Frosini, shortly after Frosini, turn right onto the SS 441, you pass close to the Abbey of San Galgano, Prata and finally arrive in Massa Marittima.
