class="MsoNormal">The Jesuits are permanently settled in 1625 when the Archbishop of Santa Fe de Bogotá commissioned missionary José Tamara Dadey parishes and associated territories and Paya Pisba later missionaries arrive Domingo and Jose Molina Tobalina, the latter Pauto sent. By then Tamara beside Paya added Pisba and 1304 natives, excluding escapees hiding in the mountains.

During the Liberation Campaign of New Granada was conducted crossing the Cordillera Oriental , by Bolivar and his army, with the town of Pisba step required for communication between the interior and eastern plains.
