Climate in Fort Lauderdale

JuteVilla
Fort Lauderdale has a subtropical rainforest climate. Although many consider South Florida (including the Keys) tropical, its situation above the Tropic of Cancer makes it prone to cold snaps in wintertime, allowing for occasional temperatures to dip as low as the upper 20sF. More often cold snaps will hit the 40s for a few nights during the winter, allowing for damage to exotic animal species as well as damage to tropical plants like the Christmas palm and the coconut palm. In summer, the weather is extremely hot and very humid and can be quite uncomfortable, especially in the daytime. Daytime
