The area is shielded from the northerly winds by the Taurus Mountains. Antalya has aMediterranean climate with hot and dry summers and mild and rainy winters. The air temperature reaches high of up to45 °C (113 °F) in July and lows down to −4 °C (25 °F) in February - the average temperature is in the low to mid 30 °C (86 °F)
