There are numerous radio stations receivable: the largest stations based in the city are BBC Radio Foyle and the commercial station Q102.9.There is a locally based television station, C9TV, which is one of only two local or 'restricted' television services in Northern Ireland.

Night-life

The city's night-life is mainly centred on the weekend, with several bars and clubs providing "student nights" during the weekdays
