The Khan of Topi Family ruled this area for almost five hundred years. At the end of Nobility after the land reforms the last Khan of Topi was Khan Sahib Khan Mohammed Umer Khan who also was a prominent Muslim Leaguer and politician who played role in the partition of 1947. The Last Khan of Topi also donated the land for current Police Station Topi and ten acres of the markazi eid Gah Topi
