Apart from warriors, The Ilaro town also produce renowned Yoruba literature guru who later became a politician few years before his death and was also a delegate to the Nigerian Constitutional conference in 1999. "Prof Afolabi Olabimitan" He authored, Kekere Ekun, this being his first novel published in 1967. he also authored “Ta lo p’omo Oba? and other literatures. Until his death He was a member of the “Akomolede Yoruba" group and a former don at the University of Lagos, Nigeria.

Other contributors to the development of Yewa land and Ogun State in general include: The late Chief Akin Ilo, Chief Deacon D. B. Babajide, Justice Ajibola rtd, The late Dr. Tunji Otegbeye, The late Chief Dawotola, The late Chief Oladitan, The late Chief Adejumo, The late Chief Onifade, Chief Babarinde, Late Chief C.K. Ojo, Chief Ibikunle, The late Cornelius Oniyide, Commissioner Coker, Chief S.O Dada aka, Honourable Olusesan Olatunji, The late Chief Egbeolu, Dr. SAJ Ibikunle, Rtd Gen. Tunji Olurin, Chief Solomon Abiodun Oniyide, Mrs MI Apampa and Chief Tunji Fadairo (SAN). Others are Otunba Iretiolu Oniyide, Late Professor Olabimitan, Comrade Dapo Oke and HRM Oba Kehinde Gbadewole Olugbenle, Asade Agunloye IV, to mention but a few. It is note worthy to mention here that the afore mentioned people contributed in part to the development of Ilaro town as either moralist worthy of emulation, educators, devoters of religion, principal of secondary schools in Ilaro, former sole administrators /governor, former speaker of the Ogun state house of assembly, Minister of State for Education, secretary to the Yewa south local government, Philanthropists, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, gubernitorial candidate, member of the house of assembly, as the case may be.
