The main source of income of the
municipality is agriculture and livestock. For cold climate favors the
cultivation of potatoes , corn ,beans , barley , wheat , beans , peas . Farmers
grow mostly potatoes and sale of the product, remaining economically. Livestock
are also a source of income. Now thanks to the various agricultural
programs developed in the region, the inhabitants tutaceños have learned to
better exploit their small plots, leaving lots of these for the cattle farm
