Until 1934 the town had corregimientos Canaletal, Cantagallo and San Pablo, but by agreement of the second council of 1935 were suppressed and those of Canaletal Cantagallo, staying as aggregations of San Pablo. The second council of 1936 to reorganize the administration of the districts I Cantagallo Canaletal and on the banks of the Magdalena River and Santa Rosa and Guamocó within the district (now Town) again
