The first inhabitants settled in this area about 300 years (NE) belonging to the ethnic group of descendants of the Zenú finzenúes so ago; which were organized in the region forming small villages not far apart in order to keep its economic system of barter, which was characterized by the exchange of products. These small towns were Chorroy, Pijiguay, Chengue, Vilut, Macajan, Wine and Macayepo.
