The inhabitants of the area, mostly from the department
of Antioquia, began assembling different types of businesses as barns, cellars,
among others. The population grew and
construction home on either side of the Main Road West began. The
living space was reduced and there was the need to expand. That's
when the first Community Action Committee, which negotiated with neighboring
haciendas in the area over the secession of land for housing construction was
created. Due to the expansion of the population, the
administrations of municipalities Ayapel Montelibano and decided to place a
limit of two municipalities the main highway, resulting in the division of the
community into two districts, The Secluded Montelibano and La Frontera Ayapel.
Due
to the division and population growth in the area generated many needs, making
public services as the highest priority in the area at the time.
The fervent desire of the people for the
development and progress of the area motivated to work for the municipalization
of The Secluded. Part of this achievement sums
leader Octavio Montoya, a member of the Committee for the Municipality of La
