What was initially a fledgling hamlet was gradually turning into a promising region, were aware that Mr. Félix José and José María Liévano Pabon, hacienda owners Guarumal Apical community, who launched the uprising there village .

The story goes that the first settlers were Jaguos Indians belonging to the tribe of the Panchos and Hernán Pérez de Quesada was he who appropriates land, in the year 1545.

Historical reports indicate that the founding date was July 16, 1828, and the October 13, 1887 was
