Ordinance No. 51 of June 30, 1938 granted the status of town to township Florida, then San Pedro dependent, and we varied the name Bucarasica, leaving San Pedro as their township. Disagreements arose between the two conglomerates hold the municipality. Departmental Assembly settled the dispute in 1948 by Ordinance No. 9 of November 25 that recognized both as municipalities. Ordinance No. 25 of 23 December of the same year ratified the decision and changed the name to the second entity, San Pedro del Norte, given in Ordinance No. 9 by the Villacaro name followed ruling on
