The United Methodist Church also has its headquarters of the Upper New York Annual (regional) Conference in downtown Syracuse, on the third floor of the University United Methodist Church near Syracuse University. The United Methodist Bishop has offices there. Syracuse is also home to the novitiate center of the Jesuit New York Province, as well as the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus (Roman Catholic, with Mass offered in English and Polish).
