JuteVilla
designed by Frank Matcham and built in 1895. It was destroyed by fire in 1937. Within the town hall is a 700-seat concert hall that houses a Father Willis organ. Amateur theatre venues in Reading include Progress Theatre, a self-governing, self-funding theatre group and registered charity founded in 1947 that operates and maintains its own 97-seat theatre.
