Culture of Lowicz

JuteVilla
The town’s pride is the Corpus Christi procession. For many years, tourists from both Poland and abroad, come to Łowicz to take part in the procession, because – apart from its religious dimension – it is also a great element of the Polish folklore. In the formal procession led by the Łowicz Bishop, the procession participants reach four consecutive altars located in different places in the town. What tourists particularly want to see is the part of the procession wearing Łowicz folk costumes, with children pouring flowers, carrying beautifully embroidered cushions and with adults carrying statuettes of saints
