Kachori is the main namkeen of the city, nearly 35000 nos. per day are consumed by the people. Not only "kachori" but Dahod is also famous for all kind or Namkeens and sweets, specially "Son Papadis" and "Mattha"(kind of shrikhand with different flavours like mango, pineapple, keshar and elaichi). Also "Pakwan" is again a delicious snack available here. Dahod is also a medical hub for the surrounding areas of Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh. During recent years real estate in Dahod has gone very high. Few places in Dahod have land rates even higher than Ahmedabad.

Town has the tallest landmark "Najmi Masjeed" inaugurated in 2002 by Dr. Syedna Mohammed Burhanuddin Saheb (T.U.S), which is one of the largest Mosques among the Dawoodi Bohra Community. Dahod is also famous for the railway; there is a large railway work shop in Dahod. In the earlier days, it was the largest railway workshop of the western India. people of town are cheerful and celebrate each and every festival enthusiastically. All the society connected with each other by celebrating each incident of life together. varies casts resides here. mainly shah, vhora, labana, patel and pateliya are larger communities over here. Pateliya community mostly resides in surrounding residencies of Dahod like Lakshminagar,Sahkarnagar,Jivandeep and Pushpkunj society
