The Crusell Music Festival
has established its position among the leading Finnish music festivals as an important musical event dedicated to woodwind music. It is arranged every year in the end of July. Leading Finnish and foreign woodwind artists come every year to perform in Uusikaupunki. The festival is dedicated to the composer and clarinetist B.H. Crusell, who was born in Uusikaupunki in the 18th century. The numerous events and versatile programmed of chamber music, light music and outdoor concerts attract every year thousands of music lovers to the town.
