Culture of Fiskars

JuteVilla
Nowadays, the factory is a lively centre of Finnish art and design. There are about 600 people living in the factory area and it is very popular among artists, artisans and designers. Especially in summer, the Fiskars Bruk is a popular tourist destination. Also in winter, various exhibitions and conference, accommodation and restaurant services, as well as workshops and shops provide things to see and experience.

The Cooperative of Artisans, Designers and Artists in Fiskars is a unique community. All members of the Cooperative, founded 1996, live or work in Fiskars Village. All year round the Cooperative arranges high-quality exhibitions in the village, presenting crafts, design and art.

The summer exhibitions arranged by the cooperative ended on Sun Sept 30 2012.

Sun Sept 30 2012 we opened the fifth and last exhibition in the series 5x3 Design visions. In the exhibition we have products by Jos Devriendt from Belgium, Alfredo Häberli from Switzerland and Nathalie Lahdenmäki from Finland.

From the beginning of October the exhibitions are open Tue-Sun from noon to 5 pm
