Economy of Vetas

The main economic activity in the municipality is the mining sector, which currently has 12 companies engaged in extracting metals like gold and silver, which are located most of them on the outskirts of Town.

Other major economic activities taking place in the municipality is livestock. Cattle covers the first place with outstanding products like milk, cheese and curd. The sheep also plays an important role in the local economy.
