in-bottom:6.0pt;margin-left: 0cm;line-height:14.4pt;background:white">As is known in continental America Columbus attempted to found God's name, Alonso de Ojeda tried to found Santa Cruz in the Guajira Venezuela and San Sebastián de Urabá, but fiercely repelled native browsers. In 1501 Rodrigo de Bastidas and Vasco Nuñez de Balboa reached the Urabá (near Acandí , Sapzurro , Capurganá , Necoclí , Unguía and Turbo ), but were repelled by the chief Cémaco with poisoned arrows and promised to name a new town in honor of Old Lady of Seville where the chief Cémaco defeat. After returning in 1510 and defeating the boss, Vasco Nunez de Balboa founded Santa María la Antigua del Darién , which becomes the first Spanish stable population in continental America. Building on the first house of the chief temple of the Christian religion in continental America (the Church of San Sebastian). The Spanish built 100 houses, the convent of San Francisco, a hospital and the casting house. The city became the capital of the colony
