Ubaté is a word that derives from the Muisca ISCUSSION , and as means Ortegón Acosta Barn or Boquerón seedlings , although according to other versions ISCUSSIONtranslates gore or bloody ground . The Indian village was close to Boqueron Carupa on the way, by which descends the valley of the river of its name. It was inhabited by a large population Muisca . The view region was discovered by Gonzalo Jiménez de Quesada to his step Lenguazaque to Cucunubá on March
