Tópaga, Boyacá was founded by Alvaro Leiva
Corregidor in the year 1593 being Encomendero Pedro Bravo. Finding the Jesuits
of passage for Missions Casanare. They built the temple in 1632 by order of the
Most Illustrious Coal Jesus. This temple was declared a National Monument by
Law 42 of 1965, was restored in 1982 keeping its characteristics and its
relics. Among others are the Altar of Mirrors and the Arc Toral High Relief
carved and painted wood with images of San Francisco Javier, San Ignacio de
Loyola, San Gabriel Archangel Two Dragons, two Angels of Silence and the image
