Marshal Jorge Robledo was the one who discovered the region occupied by the town of Titiribí in the year 1,541. He met with Titiribí name, this town was inhabited by the descendants of Indians Sinifanaes Nutabes or Nutabaes Indians, who were ruled by the cacique Titiribí, being derived from the name of the town here.
